Partners in Technology 2008 - Welcome

Virginia Beach, VA - September 15-18, 2008

*All program events will be conducted in English.

*Partners in Technology is a Business Development initiative designed to help Canadian modeling, simulation and serious gaming companies forge partnerships with key systems integrators and prime contractors in the U.S. mid-Atlantic market.

Join the Canadian Embassy on an insightful four-day program in conjunction with the MODSIM World 2008 Conference and Expo* (www.modsimworld2008.com) in Hampton Roads, Virginia, the fastest growing modeling and simulation hub in the United States. Through a series of interactive meetings and networking events, you will learn how Canadian companies can develop partnerships for business development in the U.S.

A synopsis of the draft program is as follows:

  • Develop a qualified contact list of local systems integrators you can turn to for advice or for future introductions around town;
  • Attend MODSIM World 2008* offering tracks in: Health & Medicine, Homeland Security/Defense, Transportation & Logistics, Engineering & Technology, Education & Training, Academic Research, and with a cross-cutting track on Serious Games;
  • Showcase your company to key industry players like Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Booze Allen & Hamilton, and CAE as well as academics, all based in Hampton Roads;
  • Network with your potential systems integrators and R&D partners and learn about their trendsetting modeling and simulation research;
  • Display in the Canada booth as part of the delegation (deadline: August 1)
  • Site visits to Virginia Modelling and Simulation Center (VMASC) and International Business Visitor Center to see what they are working on and how you can participate.

*NOTE: There is a registration fee of US$300 to participate in the MODSIM World 2008 conference. Participants are responsible for registering with MODSIM World Conference 2008 independently. For more information about MODSIM World 2008, please visit www.modsimworld2008.com.

We look forward to seeing you in Washington!
