Before joining Revolution Health, Anna served as Chief Privacy Officer and Senior Privacy Strategist at SRA International, a provider of technology and consulting services to clients in the national security, healthcare, and public health arenas. At SRA, Anna provided oversight of SRA's data protection practices and worked on privacy issues with SRA's clients.

Prior to joining SRA, Anna was the privacy officer at ValueOptions, a behavioral health management company owned by FHC Health Systems, and was responsible for the implementation of the HIPAA Privacy Rule at ValueOptions and other FHC companies. She has a broad range of privacy-related interests and experience, including medical privacy, privacy of genetic information, privacy issues raised by new technologies and analytic methodologies, such as biometrics, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) devices, data mining and the use of watch lists. She has done research and analysis on data protection under the Privacy Act, HIPAA, E-Government Act, and other national and international regulatory regimes. She has spoken and testified on privacy and compliance issues, and has published articles on the interaction between privacy, technology and public policy.

Before becoming involved with data protection, Anna spent more than a decade as a public policy analyst and management consultant. She worked for 10 years at the RAND Corporation, doing research and analysis on issues related to technology policy for US and European government clients, and holds a PhD in Public Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School. She also spent two years at McKinsey & Co., working on strategic issues with a variety of corporate clients in manufacturing, finance, and telecommunications.

Trained in the U.S. as an Internist, Dr. Tirmizi has been the Chief of Medicine & Primary Care at several teaching hospitals. Since 1993, Dr. Tirmizi has been the clinical champion for health informatics within the Veterans Health Administration. In July 2003 he came to headquarters to champion health informatics at the national level.

Dr. Tirmizi is working with other federal agencies and universities to develop an online Federal Health Informatics training program to support the growing educational needs of the federal healthcare workforce. He also coordinates the VHA sponsored medical informatics fellowships offered at eight VA medical centers. He is also leading federal efforts in collaboration with private health care systems to share clinical knowledge assets and clinical decision support tools to provide better, safer and more efficient care. Dr. Tirmizi has served on several medical and information technology expert panels and has been an invited speaker to a number of domestic and international conferences. Dr. Tirmizi is adjunct faculty at the George Mason University and the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.

Steven J. Fox is a partner with Pepper Hamilton LLP. He is resident in the firm's Washington, DC office and leads Pepper's health care informatics initiative.

Since 1990, Mr. Fox's practice has been primarily devoted to health care information technology. He provides clients with legal advice and strategic counseling involving technology, e-commerce and health care information systems. In particular, he is experienced in the development, acquisition, negotiation, transfer and licensing of complex information systems, RHIOs (Regional Health Information Organizations); HIEs (Health Information Exchanges); networks and software; outsourcing; EHRs (electronic health records), privacy protection, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996); Internet and technology use policies; consulting/services agreements; and corporate, contractual and intellectual property matters.

Beginning in 2000, for almost five years, he wrote a monthly "Q&A" column dealing with HIPAA at HIPAAdvisory.com. He is co-author of "Guide to Medical Privacy and HIPAA," published by Thompson Publishing Group. He also is a co-author of "Guide to Establishing a Regional Health Information Organization," which was published in February, 2007 by HIMSS.

Mr. Fox is involved in many professional and industry organizations, including the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (as an advisory board member), HIMSS RHIO Federation Workgroup, Pennsylvania eHealth Initiative (PAeHI) (as an ex officio board member and vice chair of the Policy Committee), American Health Lawyers Association and Maryland HIMSS. A graduate of the University of Maryland (B.A., 1971) and the University of Maryland Law School (J.D., 1974), he is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland.

Before joining Pepper, Mr. Fox was chairman of the Information Systems/E-Commerce Practice Group at Ober, Kaler, Grimes & Shriver.

Mr. Fox is a frequent speaker and author on issues involving technology and health care information.

In January 2006, John Loonsk was appointed director of the Office of Interoperability and Standards in the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In this role, he is responsible for the Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN), the Health Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP), and the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT).

Before assuming that position, he was Associate Director for Informatics at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In that capacity he was instrumental in architecting the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS), leading the creation of the Public Health Information Network, initiating the BioSense program, and advancing the field of Public Health Informatics at the CDC and nationally.

He received his medical training at the State University of New York at Buffalo after graduating from the Johns Hopkins University. Through advanced degree work, research and administration he has pursued a medical career that balanced medicine and information technology in academic medical centers and government with interests in internetworked health care, just in time information delivery, surveillance, digital libraries, and decision support.

Kathy founded Federal Insights in 2007. Federal Insights is a sales and marketing consulting firm focused on the federal government and health care industries. They provide consulting, research, and capture support to a diverse group of clients including large privately-held companies, small businesses and health care companies. For over 25 years, Ms. Minchew has been working for federal government and commercial system integrators to enter new markets, develop strategies for growth and deliver new business. Previously, Ms. Minchew worked for Booz Allen Hamilton, Computer Sciences Corporation, SAIC, Federal Sources, HCL James Martin, and Pearson in various business development roles. Ms. Minchew also has held various Industry Advisory Council roles to include founding and leading the EGov and Homeland Security Special Interest Groups, the Excellence.Gov awards and the Health Committee.
