Welcome to Commercializing Medical Devices for the U.S. Market!

This International Business Development initiative is sponsored by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada in cooperation with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and Export Development Canada (EDC). Our fall Medical Devices Mission to the Washington region has been designed to give Canadian manufacturers from all provinces knowledge of the conditions and opportunities for doing business in one of the premier markets in the country. Our seminar presenters include industry experts who have conducted Workshops with the Medical Devices Manufacturing Association (MDMA). They offer a wealth of knowledge and decades of experience in successfully commercializing medical devices for the U.S. market.

Our 2 ½ day program will include:

• a full day of presentations from expert U.S. speakers and the opportunity to meet with them independently;
• a full day of site visits to major area hospitals for tours and presentations;
• an evening mixer reception and product tabletop to promote your company and products to approximately 100 U.S. industry guests; and
• a morning of individual meetings and appointments with prospective US business partners or the option to participate in further site visits.
